Suzanne (Suzie) Weiler
Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Suzie came to Germany in 2005, fuelled by a fascination for the German language and a bit of wanderlust. Suzie’s grounding philosophy is that with hard work and creativity, people can escape the narrow confines of ‘either-or’ thinking, and flourish within a ‘both-and’ mindset. In that spirit, Suzie completed her M.A. in Philosophy at the University of Cologne while simultaneously pursuing a career as a Business English trainer. With her Master’s degree and LCCI and CELTA teaching certifications under her belt, Suzie founded Weiler & Co. Global English and became a tenured lecturer of English for Specific Purposes at the TH Köln. There, her regular courses included Professional Ethics, Negotiating Across Cultures, and Academic English for professors and lecturers. After a nine year tenure at the Suzie TH, Suzie decided to focus entirely on delivering intercultural and professional English training in her role as Head Trainer at Weiler & Co.
Anastasia (Ani) Hoffmann
Anastasia Hoffmann, Ani to her friends and students, joined the Weiler & Co. Global English team in 2022. Originally from Massachusetts, Ani embarked on her English teaching career in Germany in 2004 where she taught business and general English at a private language school for the next 15 years. In that time, she gained valuable experience working with diverse groups of learners teaching in-company language courses and honed her expertise in professional communication, eventually being promoted to director of studies of the school. In 2017, Ani expanded her horizons to the academic world, teaching Business English courses at the Dusseldorf University of Applied Sciences. Since 2023 she has had a tenured position within the Language Learning Center at the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne. Today she enjoys the balance between teaching in academia and providing tailor-made language training to professionals as a member of the Weiler & Co. Global English teaching team, helping all of her students and clients reach their individual and specific communication goals.
